What are the best Star Wars books to read?
So now that I’m on Spring Break, I need something to read! I’ve read the SW movie novels a while back and I also read the new SW book Darth Plaguies, but I need some suggestions on what other star wars books are good….Preferably, I’d like a book that took place either before Episode I or after Episode III, so nothing during the time of the prequel movies. Also, I don’t mind if the book is in a series either.
I liked the very earliest of the Star Wars novels best so I would recommend the Thrawn Trilogy (Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising and The Last Command) by Timothy Zahn. Also The Courtship of Princess Leia – Dave Wolverston, Children of the Jedi – Barbara Hambly, and The Crystal Star – Vonda McIntyre.I dislike the latter novels as they introduce too many characters not in the original films.
How to get bounty hunters in lego star wars the complete saga?
I have the game Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga for ps3 and I need to know what all the bounty hunter names are and how to get them. I’m trying to get bounty hunter missions unlocked and I don’t know how to get all the bounty hunters.
Best answer to person who lists EVERY bounty hunter name and how to get them. its not that hard. you just go to places you wouldn’t go if you were rushing. There are walk throughs if you search for them.
Is it possible to buy any of the songs from the Star Wars Clone Wars seasons?
If anybody’s played Lego Star Wars III, there’s a lot of music in there that isn’t from the original Clone Wars movie. Is there a way to buy or download any of that music?
Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones is composer/conductor John Williams’ fifth score for the Star Wars saga. As in the previous four soundtracks, Williams melds new musical material with familiar themes and once again comes up with a wonderful symphonic score.
As I listen to the soundtrack from “Attack of the Clones,” different scenes from the movie come flashing through my mind. From the “Star Wars Main Title,” with its disappearing logo and title crawl to “Confrontation with Count Dooku and Finale,” this album held me breathlessly captive as I followed Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Padme through the many perils and tribulations they go through on their rendezvous with destiny. And just as Lucas’ visuals take the viewer from the tall skycrapers of Coruscant to the rolling meadows of Naboo and into the unfriendly arena on Geonosis, Williams’ themes help the listener recall these images through the emotional context of the music.

What gaming hardware should I get for my laptop to enjoy Diablo III to its fullest?
Alright, Christmas is coming up and I’m trying to think of what I could ask for to juice up my laptop a bit for the upcoming Diablo III. I have an ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics card in my Gateway NV52. Was wondering if I should just keep it, or ask for a slightly better upgrade. I also want to know if there is an awesome gamepad that’s perfect to play Diablo. Any other suggestions would be awesome, I’m excited about the game and want to enjoy it to the fullest when I get it. Thanks for the help!
buy a desktop pc.the problem with laptops is that you are stuck with whatever you are given other then the hd and ram
in a dekstop pc you can replace everything from the video card to the mother board everything is replacable.failling that just max out your ram thats all you can really do with a laptop.as far as a gamepad goes for a game like diablo 3 ( click click click click click click click click click ) whose game play is mostly clicking on something the mouse works best.but the xbox 360 pad is a very good choice regardless.
Capcom will launch a Lost Planet spin-off title for the PlayStation 3 and 3DS called EX Troopers, according to the latest issue of Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu (translated by Andriasang). Development on the game will be led by Monster Hunter series producer Shintaro Kojima.
According to the report, EX Troopers will take place in the same world as Lost Planet, but that will be the only main similarity to the series. EX Troopers will sport an anime visual style and will tell a “school-themed story,” says the magazine.
More specifically, EX Troopers will recount a battle between snow pirates and the indigenous Akrid aliens on the planet EDN-3rd. Gamers will suit up as Bren Turner, and will be introduced to female snow pirate TeeKee, who has the power to communicate with the Akrid.
Kojima explained that EX Troopers was designed with the intent to be a beginner’s action shooter, but did not offer more details. The game is reportedly 60 percent complete, and is due to ship later this year, ahead of 2013’s Lost Planet 3. That game is a prequel to the original Lost Planet, and is currently in development at Spark Unlimited.

What are you most excited for in Diablo III?
Diablo III is an action role-playing game currently in development and the third installment of Blizzard’s Diablo franchise. It was unveiled on June 28, 2008 at the 2008 Blizzard Entertainment Worldwide Invitational in Paris, France.
Diablo III is an action role-playing game similar in style to its predecessor, Diablo II. The proprietary engine will incorporate Havok physics and feature destructible environments with an in-game damage effect. The developers are aiming to make the game run on a wide range of systems, and have stated that DirectX 10 will not be required. Diablo III will use a custom 3D game engine in order to present an overhead view to the player, in a somewhat similar way to the isometric view used in previous games in the series. Enemies will utilize the 3D environment as well, such as crawling up the side of a wall from the depths into the combat area.
Any rumors for when Starcraft II, or Diablo III comes out?
I just want to know if anyone has been watching all the videos for both Diablo III, and Starcraft II, and maybe someone knows a “window”, in which either game can come out… Maybe in one of the videos, or on the Blizzard website, someone working on the game said, “We hope to have Diablo III by fall 2009″, or something like that…
I know that they plan to come out with Diablo III before Starcraft II, and that they hope to have Diablo III done by the end of this year, but other than that, is there more news on a release date?…
Is there any recent news on Diablo III or the DII 1.13 Patch/Ladder reset?!?
Nearly a year ago I was anticipating the coming of Diablo III and the 1.13 Patch to finish in time for a ladder reset in April 09 (Which Blizzard claimed would be it’s release date).
Well, it’s nearly April a year LATER and still no reset AND there is no news on Diablo III and when it might come out. I also read that the release of the 1.13 Patch was to coincide with the release of Starcraft 2. How is that working out?!
Does anyone know anything? Because Ladder will be 2 years old in June when it should have reset over a year ago.
huh, it still hasnt reset yet. I quit playing about a year ago, shortly after the reset was supposed to happen. i got out while I could and sold my gear for fg’s. I cant beleive the ladder still hasnt reset yet. The market for stuff must be really saturated by now. If they havnt reset it by now I would think their never gonna reset it. Maybe DII just lost its blizzard support or something.

What you think the next game of Blizzard will be? Starcraft II, Diablo III or something else?
They will put the news on their website www.blizzard.com on Saturday. Can’t wait for that. I vote for Diablo III.
I’d be very shocked if they have the resources to put out another MMORPG, especially since they just released the Burning Crusade in January. It could be yet another WoW expansion, there have been some rumours that one is on the way.
Diablo would could be a likely suspect since it’s arguably their most popular game to date not counting Warcraft and it’s predecessors.
Or it may be something totally new- who knows..
I’m editing is to tell you that I’ve heard a rumour that it’s going to be Starcraft Online or something, and that this will be announced at Blizzcon. I guess we’ll have to wait and see if that’s true
In Diablo III, are the only characters going to be the Barbarian and the Witch Doctor or will there be more?
There are going to be more characters in Diablo III, but they are not planning to bring in old classes from D2. Maybe there might be some touch-up to the classes under a different name? I think they could get some mix-characters, but as it is today, those are the only 2 characters released, and you can view their gameplay at youtube.

Diablo III and Mac – is it ever going to happen?
1) When will it FINALLY be released? It’s been so long already.
2) Will there be a Mac version?
3) Is there a way to transfer the game data from Diablo II from my Windows Vista PC to the MacAir OSX 10.7.2 ?
(1)We all are waiting for it for such a long time, but there is no confirmed date yet. All we know is that it will be released in Q1 2012.
(2) It will be released on both Windows and Mac.
(3)Yes. You can check more informaiton here!
Do you think Diablo III will be better than the others?
It’s is hard to say what “Better” actually means. The first Diablo is creepy and dark. The second one has much more to explore and you’re actually outside which makes it not feel so claustrophobic and scarry. Diablo 2’s leveling, weapon selection and character tree development is what I would say makes it a better game though I can still play the first one to this day and love it.
That being said the games themselves always improve upon the previous edition. I would say that yes Diablo III will be better than the other two in gameplay and graphics terms. As long as Blizzard doesn’t cripple the game by removing features such as LAN play and offline play I will be in line on the first day to buy it. If they do restrict LAN play and make it more like World of Warcraft I will absolutely hate it. I hope for the sake of the trilogy and loyal fans that they stay true to the other two and make it a clickfest of death, darkness and awesome graphics that expands upon the previous two.
Who can tell me some safety website I need to buy diablo III account?
Yes, you could buy or rent diablo III account at www.myd3gold.com which I have looked a few days ago. it’s very cheaper and the service is very good..The Diablo III will come out after a few month.

What race are you picking in Diablo III and why?
I don’t know what I want I would like to hear some opinions, right now I’m thinking I might want to be a Demonhunter.
I’ve run through the first 13 levels on all of them (in Beta) and have to say the Demon Hunter is by far my favorite with the Monk in a very near second place.
DH is great for ranged attacks. There are a couple skills for hiding which are nice that takes the aggro off of you but definitely helps having a tank (Barb or a Warrior NPC) in front as it does get a bit hairy when you are within melee range of creatures as you don’t have a lot of armor to back you up. I’ve always been a fan of the ranged class tho so I might be bias.
Monk is awesome for melee, very fast and has some awesome abilities to hop in and out of combat. Obviously not a heavy hitter like the Barb but fun to dash in and out.
Is the witch doctor replace Necromancer for Diablo III, you like or hate the idea?
I think DIII is alot like warcraft world, witch doctor just share too many common with necromancer, has curse spell, summon, and other skill kinda like poison but is logus etc.. look to be even more powerful than necromancer i think, but we won’t know for sure till is out. What do you think?
I read an interview with a rep from blizzard recently, they said that the witch doctor is not a replacement character for the necromancer and may still be included. But I think that not was just made because Blizzard doesn’t want to get locked into anything prematurely.
But since there are so many similarities, my bet is while its not “official” they probably won’t have a necromancer. But the witchdoctor looks pretty dang cool to me.

Should I get Diablo II when Diablo III is coming out soonish?
I think Diablo III’s coming out in November or december (if i’m completely off tell me)
And to me It looked really good. I can’t really wait and i wanna get a feel for the playstyle. I’ve played a game called fate which has the similar click to attack+move gameplay. I’ve never played Diablo II should I get it or just wait for Diablo III to come out.
Until BlizzCon happens this year, there’s no telling when the game would come out. They might announce a release date for it this year at BlizzCon, but right now it’s too uncertain to make any assumptions.
Jay Wilson has said that they’ve completed a majority of the game are “in the home stretch” right now, as they are done with most of the game’s more complicated design features. They’re most likely optimizing the game right now.
I don’t know how to answer this, really. Diablo 2 is a great game on it’s own, I’d recommend it just to experience how awesome it is.
Blizzard said they are “considering” a possible console port later on in the future, but they’ve stressed that this possibility will make no impact on the game’s development cycle and are focusing on a PC/Mac only release for now, and look into porting it in the future.
What do you think about Diablo III being released on consoles as well as pc & mac?
I remember Diablo 1 for the PSX, but they didn’t do that with Diablo 2, maybe they’ll make a console return for Diablo 3, thoughts, discuss?I think Blizzard realized it was a mistake to place Diablo 1 on the home console. It just does not translate well, as the analog button does not simulate well compared to a mouse. It’s the same reason why RTS games don’t work well in home gaming systems.
Of course it goes both ways. Sports games don’t translate well on PC’s.

What is the best era and time in Star Wars?
I’m a big Star Wars fan, and I really like the early New Republic era all the way to the early New Jedi Order era, 6 ABY to around 30 ABY to be exact. But I’m just a little curious what other fans like. I mainly just want to see if anybody likes the Alliance and the new jedi. I know a lot of people like the Clone Wars but I’ve never really found that time interesting.
I like the times surrounding the first Deathstar. There is intrigue and plotting, advances in spacecraft, the rebirth of the Jedi, the miraculous destruction of the deathstar and the crushing of hope as the empire continues on after words. The clone wars, while primarily deception, weren’t as interesting since the sides were very clearly drawn. The Post empire period is also a little less interesting to me since it is a reconstruction period more than anything else.
Why are star wars audio books abridged fiction ?
I recently downloaded the audio book “Star Wars: Courtship of Princess Leia” from iTunes and saw that it was abridged.
Looking at the rest of the audio books on iTunes I saw that all of the star wars books are abridged.
Why is that? Many audio books, not just Star Wars audio books, are released in an abridged format to condense material to a suitable length.
Novels are supposed to be read silently to oneself, which is generally faster than reading aloud. To release a complete version of the novel in audio form would likely last over 20 hours and therefore be very expensive to both the publisher to produce and the consumer to purchase, so instead the publisher will remove anything from small references to entire scenes which are considered superfluous, i.e. they do not move the story along.

What order should one watch the Star Wars movies and why?
I’ve seen all of the Star Wars movie, but say you were going to show someone the series, would you start at IV or I? Why?
This question gets asked a lot and no offense to those who say to watch them in Chronological order (IE: ep 1 – 6 ) but they just don’t get it because that is the absolute worst way to watch them. If you want to enjoy the full experience of the Star Wars saga then I beg you … the only way to watch them is ep IV – VI then ep I – III. Why … well this is just my “theory” but it holds a couple oceans of water.
Start with the fact that they were released that way and that is how the story was meant to be told. Watching them this way will also keep the “suspense” in them. Both of the trilogies “tell” on the secrets of the others but the prequels take much of the suspense out of the OT with some of the info learned in them. There is a scene in episode V: The Empire Strikes Back that was voted # 4 by SAG as one of the most shocking revelations in the entire history of film … if you watch them ep I – III then ep IV – VI you will lose the “WTF” value it carried in 1980 because you will already know what it is and it won’t seem like a big deal to you. The problem with that is that this event WAS a big deal to the saga itself. It basically took everything we thought we knew and tossed it into the recycle bin. To this day I remember what happened in the theater I was in to watch this movie for the first time and heard Darth Vader utter 5 words that turned the Star Wars saga upside down … absolute silence … you could have heard a pin drop 10 miles away … we were stunned silent by this “revelation” … this went on for about 10 seconds and then one by one you heard people say, no way … he’s lying … don’t believe him Luke … and it went on until Luke made his decision and then another cheer went up in the crowd. Yeah, that’s the kind of “crazy” we were back then. This trilogy grabbed the people of my generation and said … you think that was cool … watch this. It’s kind of like it was back in the 50s when all the kids were listening to that “Devil Music” called Rock n Roll. It was one of those things that had to be felt not seen. I doubt we will ever seen any movie in any genre that will come close to topping this saga …
There is one other thing to decide also with respect to the OT (ep 4 – ep 6) … there are 3 versions of these movies … the ones that came out to theaters in 77 – 83 … the SE versions that came to theaters in 97 … and the DVD versions that came out in 2004. Is there much difference between the 3 versions … for the most part no. The main thing that was changed was picture quality and sound quality. Lucas did change some scenes and did add some small scenes. I would suggest you watch the DVD versions, as they are the “final” word according to Lucas.
Many people “trash” the prequels, I really can’t abide by that. Even as a true Star Wars Geek I will be the first to admit that the prequels were flawed … at least ep 1 & 2 … personally I thought that ep 3 rocked from start to finish but that’s just me I guess. I really wish that fans would stop and think about just why they didn’t like the prequels and actually say why they don’t like them instead of saying “they suck”. When I stop and do that I come up with 3 main reasons why they weren’t as good as the originals. First, Lucas got too hung up on all the fancy different ways he could blow things up with all the new CGI that they had developed at ILM and forgot that what made Star Wars the iconic saga that it was and will always be … the story itself. Second, is that when Lucas decided to make the prequels he had to do the impossible … make 3 more movies as good as or better than the original trilogy … it couldn’t be done. Third, fan ignorance. With the 16 years in between the trilogies fans had already came up with their own “version” of how these 3 movies would go and when they didn’t match the story in their head if ticked them off to the point that they didn’t like them.
Anyways, sorry for the ramble but the Star Wars saga is one of my true passions.. I guess the main thing I’m trying to say is that ep IV – VI then ep I – III is the way to go if you want to feel the true magic of Star Wars.
May The Force Be With You …

How do i convince my parents to let me buy star wars battlefront elite squadron.?
Ok i really want star wars battlefront elite squadron and my parents won’t let me get it. It’s mostly my mom she thinks star wars is bad and everything. My dad would let me get it if my mom says yes but she won’t. I’ts not that she’s entirery against shooters because I have medal of honor heroes 2 but as i said she doesn’t like star wars. How do i convince them to let me get it ?
Tell her that while she might not like star wars you are very interested in the concept of the future and love the idea of being able to play a game that lets you play in the future.. Also look up information about the game so your mom thinks you have really thought out your decision. Its all about confidence.
Is star wars prequel trilogy ever coming to blu ray?
I want it on blu ray I won’t buy it until that happens . I only want the star wars with anakin not the old one.
The only SW movie that is out on Blu-Ray is the Animated Clone Wars movie … I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for the others to come out on that format. Lucas and many others in “Hollywood” are not sold on Blu-Ray becoming the next big thing … there are also many who think it is a dead format. Personally I would go with the “dead” idea but I’m not “full in” on that yet. Don’t get me wrong, Blu-Ray does have much better picture quality and sound but not enough to justify the added cost of the player and new home theater equipment. There are tons of other “pros” & “cons” for this but going into that rant wouldn’t serve any purpose in regards to your question.
I wouldn’t look for SW to be on Blu-Ray, if ever, until after Lucas has brought all 6 movies back to theaters in a true 3-D format. Most “rumors” point to this happening in 2012 but again … I wouldn’t hold my breath.
